2017 Warbirds and Classics is everything you’ve come to expect: A fun weekend of flying scale model airplanes at the beautiful OCMA flying field in Irvine CA.
And, we’ve added some fun stuff:
- New T-shirt artwork. We’ll reveal the new artwork as soon as it is completed. The shirt will feature new artwork by Scott Carter
- New gated access to the flying field for campers. Are you camping (dry only), it will be in the same place right next to the field entrance, but now features its own gated entry-way!
- Public is invited and that will include free toys for the kids! Whirly-copters and foam free flight planes (supplies are limited) will fill the skies in the area near the food area (well out of the way of the pits and flying field).
- FREE FLIGHT RUBBER POWERED AIRPLANE CONTEST SATURDAY MORNING ABOUT 7:00 AM. OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED. The rules are simple.. must be a model airplane, must be rubber-band powered, must be free flight. No radios, no engines, no electric motors. Any size, any style. We see big planes fly for seconds and smaller planes fly for minutes, so you know it’s all about prep, setup, trim, and build quality.
